For the past few days Ella has begun trying to talk alot. Here, she's apparently amused by the Muppet's Christmas Carol.

Time with Papa and Grandma Roberts

On Wednesday, I had to go back to work at Orange High School so Ella now spends part of her day at Papa and Grandma Robert's house. I really miss her, but I know she's in good hands, and she seems to be having a lot of fun!

On Tuesday, Ella spent her first night in her crib in her room (instead of the bassinet in the pack-and-play in our room) and she has been sleeping very well in it - usually 5 to 6 hours! This is much improved over her 2 to 3 hours she used to sleep.

Ella got her first taste of rice cereal on a spoon yesterday after being so hungry that she couldn't make it 2 hours between feedings. She also went from leaning against me while sitting on my lap to sitting straight up by herself and just looking around on my lap.

On Tuesday night, Ella slept in her crib (instead of the bassinet) for the first time. She slept really great and really loves her pooh mobile over her crib! She has slept in her crib every night since and it's going great.
I also have to start being careful with what I have around her. She has been grabbing for things! This morning I was giving her vitamins and I was trying to screw the lid back on when she surprised me by grabbing the bottle and spilling some on herself! No more drinking any hot liquids around this little girl...

2 month check up

Ella is 2 months old!
At her check up on Tuesday, she was 22.5 inches long and 11 pounds 15 ounces! Today (Friday) we had to take Ella back to the doctor because she had developed a small lump above her left eye. The doctors were unhelpful - they weren't sure what it could be and sent us home with instructions to return if she developed a fever or if it got worse.

Ella Marie Roberts has arrived!

Our little bundle of joy arrived on September 30, 2008 at 9:36am! She was 9 lb. 1 oz. and 20.5 inches at birth.
