Monday OB appointment

Well, at our monthly OB appointment Monday, the doctor was having difficulty capturing the baby's heartbeat so she took me into the ultrasound room for a quick look.  Everything looks great - we are 16 weeks along - and she told us she is pretty sure I am carrying a BOY!  We are very excited, of course, and now I just need to get a few little boy things before his arrival in December.

Ella's cute story of the day

We are cleaning out the office to turn it into Ella's "big girl" room.  I found a handful of old running medals (one from the Richmond Marathon, two from the Charlotte half-marathon, two from the Pickle Run in Ohio, and two from the Cary Road Race 10K in 2008- when I was pregnant with Ella.  Ella absolutely loved the medals.  I put one around her neck and said it was the first race she had ever run - when she was in my belly.
Ella in turn grabbed one and put it around my neck.  She went and put one around Steve's neck.  Steve asked her what his medal was for and she said, "won the race".  Then she put one around Sophie's (our dog's) neck and said it was for being, "the best dog EVER!"
