Ella's 12 month appointment

We had Ella's appointment yesterday (on her birthday) and she was 29.2" tall and weighed 21 lb 13.4 inches! She's growing up! Boy, was she not happy after her shots, though. I felt so bad that she had to have her shots on her birthday, but after a little nap, she woke up much happier.

Ella's Trip to Ohio

Well, we had a great visit to Ohio this past week! Ella got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Lohrbach and Aunt Kate, go to Greg & Heather's wedding, and have her first birthday party with an Eeyore cake!

Last weekend we took a trip to Mt. Mitchell State Park (the highest peak east of the Mississippi River) and hiked a 2 mile hike up to the top (with Ella riding on Steve's back and Sophie pulling me the whole way). Here are some of the photos from that trip.

The Fireplace Project

Well we've finally completed our fireplace project (and when I say "we" I mean mostly "Steve")!

The Pemberville Fair

The hummingbird

This lovely green hummingbird loves my wave petunias on our deck. He comes to visit every day and drink the nectar.

Ella just got her new tutu!

This was from Hannah's tutus - Jena, my sister, won a gift voucher and gave it to me! It's a bit too big for her now and this photo doesn't do it justice with all the shades of blue... but it's beautiful!
